Orthodontic Assisting
From 2020-2022, I worked as an Orthodontic Assistant at Bucks Mont Orthodontics in Warrington, PA. I provided chairside assistance to Dr. Chirag Patel during the bonding of traditional metal and ceramic braces, lingual braces, clear aligners, palatal expanders, and other appliances. I was also responsible for managing patient portfolios, taking initial and progress records like panoramic and cephalometric X-rays, iTero scans, intraoral photos, and occasional alginate impressions for Essix retainers.
I also worked with Dr. Patel and Melissa, Office Manager, in marketing efforts and in creating a warm, fun environment for patients ages 7+.
At Bucks Mont, I had the opportunity to learn about various aspects of orthodontics, patient care and safety, treatment planning, and several different treatment modalities. I’ve also received invaluable mentorship from Dr. Patel with respect to dental school and practice management.
Providing superior care and support for patients is paramount at BMO. As depicted below, joyfulness and play were always integral to that care. The team at BMO always prioritized positivity among patients and their families, and strived to make a lasting impact on all communities served.
